Calendars for unusual shifts

We have a situation where we are trying to create resource calendars for
resources that work shifts like 8:30 pm to 5:30 am, and whenever I enter them
into the calendars area as above, I get an error stating that the "The start
of a shift must be later than the end of a shift." So I tried to 'fake it'
by going from 8:30 pm to 11:59 pm then 12:00 am to 5:30 am (so 1 minute
break) and this did not work.

Anyone have any suggestions?

And if not...is this option available in PS 2007--anyone know?

As Rod said. Strictly speaking the calendar hours don't define or
necessarily correspond directly to shifts, instead they list the hours on a
given day of the week where work is able to take place and they are not
necessarily continuous blocks. For your night shift, the calendar for, say,
Wednesday lists the portion of the hours of the group coming to work on
Tuesday night that occur on Wednesday plus the hours of the group coming in
on Wednesday night that occur before the date changes to Thursday at
midnight. The hours after midnight for those people coming in Wednesday
evening are listed in the morning of Thursday's calendar.
