Calendars

Jim

Hi,
Anyone know a way to have a drop-down list/combo list for
a date-type field that will open a small calendar from
which the user can select a date?
Thanks

I need some guidance!

We are planning on undertaking an Access project for our organization and
are interested on what people think the best route to go is.

The database is stored on network drive where all persons involved in the
process will have access.

The package is started:

The person’s personal information and specifics for package is entered into
an Access table via form.
|
Access Report is generated (templated document where the above entered
information is entered in the document)
|
Report is printed and physically signed
|
The above signed document along with the other supporting documents are
scanned and placed on the network drive under the individual’s subdirectory
|
Now the package is complete and ready for review. Scanned files linked to
Access automatically? Via VB perhaps?
|
Reviewing authority inputs specifics for authorizing endorsement (Access
report)
|
The above, generated final endorsement is forwarded electronically (pdf?)
|
Authorizing Official electronically signs forwarded endorsement and fwds
package back to originator

what do you think would be the best route?

Hi Jim,

Lots of options for you on calendars.

This is my personal favorite from Sensei Stephen Lebans:
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!
Instructions included on the site.

http://www.lebans.com/monthcalendar.htm

You can use the Calendar ActiveX Control that ships
with your Access program. You'll find it under your
ActiveX Controls list. To help you see how this works
I suggest you go to MVP Arvin Meyer's site and
download a couple of his sample databases that demonstrate
how to use the calendar.

http://www.datastrat.com/Download2.html

If that doesn't work I would suggest this one:

http://www.lebans.com/monthcalendar.htm

You may also want to check Tony Toews' site which lists many
calendar options including using forms and even an API solution.
You can find that here:

http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/calendars.htm

You may also want to consider this one:

MVP Allen Browne has some ready made calendar forms you can download here:

http://members.iinet.net.au/~allenbrowne/ser-51.html

A friend told me about this one:

http://www.lebans.com/monthcalendar.htm

Here is a cool one in French with a slick clock as well:

http://www.logicielappui.com/tips/Acc2000_Calendar_Clock.zip

This one is in English:

You could also read this Microsoft KB article for some help:

ACC: How to Create a Pop-Up Calendar Control on a Form
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=190194

I recently stumbled across this one:

http://www.lebans.com/monthcalendar.htm

This link gives some step-by-step instructions:

http://www.techonthenet.com/access/forms/popup_cal.htm

I believe this one is fairly new:

Here's another one of interest:

http://www.byerley.net/AccessCalDemo.zip

If that one gives you trouble you may want to try this one:

http://www.lebans.com/monthcalendar.htm

The Access Developer's Handbook has a form-based one
included with the book/CD:

http://www.developershandbook.com

I've also heard some good things about this one:

http://www.lebans.com/monthcalendar.htm

This one might work just fine as well:

This one was just recently passed on to me:

http://www.lebans.com/monthcalendar.htm

And last, but not least I would try this one:
