calibri font

Hi,

I use MS Office on my Mac, so the files are all nice and compatible
with my colleagues who mostly have Windows computers.

However, most people have now switched to Vista and we're adopting the
"Calibri" font as the standard one for our reports, proposals, etc. I
don't have this font in my version of Office, so I need to get
colleagues to reformat all my work and create a pdf that I can then
send out to clients -- a big hassle!

Can I get the Calibri font to use on my Mac?

Thanks,
L.

Download Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007 which includes the ClearType
Collection.

I believe Calibri will be available in Office 2008.

It says it's an .exe file !

I wonder if some kind person would provide Richard with a .zip
containing the four Calibri TrueType fonts that he requires? If only
Richard would provide an email address, I'm pretty sure that they
could email him these fonts asap! Like... ;)

I'm not the OP. I just thought this was a mac group ;-)

Hello L. -

What you don't make clear is which version of Office you're actually
using... Is it Office for Mac (X, 2004) or are you running a Windows version
by way of VPC/Parallels/Fusion/Boot Camp? And if so, which one. From the way
your post is worded I think Diane had the impression you were running a
Windows version, so the Viewer should work for what you need. If you're
actually using a Mac version of Office, it won't (unless you do have Windows
available in one of the manners mentioned above).

However, the ClearType fonts are compatible cross-platform if you're using
Office 2004 (I don't think they'll work in Office X). AFAIK, the fonts are
not available [legitimately] for download. If it so happens that someone on
a PC were to provide you with copies they could be added to your appropriate
fonts folder & should work... Not that I would recommend that anyone
actually do such a thing.

Sorry about that. I did a Google search and all of the places where you
could get other free Microsoft fonts they did not list Calibri.

Yeah: I think it's a self-expanding .CAB.

Stuffit should be able to get it open.

And no, nobody can "legally" email anyone those fonts. Otherwise I would
have :)
