Hello Visio Pros,

I have been trying to configure a callout on a Visio diagram. I want the
callouts to pop up with texts in it only when I mouse over on a particular
box. And I want this list to be different for different boxes with its own
callouts. How can I acheive that ? BTw, I use MS Visio 2002

Please HELP !

Thanks in advance.

Make the shape's Comment equal to the text you want to display.
( that's the Comment section in the shapesheet, not the same as the
menu Insert Comment. )

Thanks for the instant response, but I am not following you. I tried to
configure the shape sheet, but there is no comment section option there or in
the options to add a comment section. All I am looking for is to have a call
out pop up when I mouse over a shape. Could you please tell me the steps.

Thanks again

Thanks Paul. I found it and certainly a Step Closer. But I am really looking
for the 'Custom Call outs' from the Stencil to pop up on mouse over.

You can achieve something similar to the Custom Callout by entering text and
ShapeSheet references in the Comment cell as Paul suggested. This can be
multi-line by using ="My first line"&CHAR(13)&CHAR(10)&"My second line" , or
similar, in the Comment cell formula

Thanks David. Both you & Paul have given me the rope to climb up. If I find
something more FUN, I will post it in the same Subject ID.
