I use callouts ('cartoon bubbles') in my presentations. However, when creating new callouts and typing text in them, the line spacing of the text is sometimes odd. It appears normal and suddenly, when the box has three or four lines of text in it, PowerPoint will add what looks like an empty line between the first and second rows of text, as if the program has inserted another return after the first row. Sometimes I'll even get a flashing cursor in the blank line. But it hasn't, and the extra line cannot be deleted. Attempts to delete the mysterious carriage return simply delete the last letters of the word at the end of the first line. The only solution is to make the text shorter. Bug? Any workaround?
