CALs - Active versus Inactive Resource

Hi,

Is there any sort of checking that takes place in terms of licencing (i.e.,
CALs) when a resource in the resource pool on Server (2007) is set to Active
or Inactive besides an inactive user not being able to access the system?

I will gladly encourage anyone who is a Microsoft licensing expert, but I
believe that there is no type of checking within Project Server 2007 to make
sure each user has a valid CAL. That means it is on the honor system. But
the flip side of the coin is that Microsoft retains the right to do a
surprise audit at any time, and if a company is not in compliance with
Microsoft licensing, then that company is in a whole world of extreme pain!
