Camera button

hey Microsoft,

I was able to find the little "camera" button in this new "Ribbon Excel".
But there is no information in Help on how to use it (why not?). It doesn't
seem to work in the Ribbon Version. Please advise. Thank you.

Select a range of cell.
Click the Camera command
The mouse pointer is now a thin cross +
Left click anywhere (even a sheet on another book)
Now you have a linked picture
Change a value in the original range; the value in the picture changes
best wishes

Thank you Bernard.

That works. The source sheet has to be unprotected when taking the
"snapshot". Either I forgot that trick or else is new limitation in this
build.

The Camera Tool will be grayed out if sheet is protected......not a new feature.

You can use SHIFT + Edit>Copy Picture to copy from a protected sheet then paste
to another unprotected sheet.

I know exactly what this newsgroup/forum is. I've been using usenet since
the early 1990's. I have even contributed useful replies to this self-same
newsgroup in years past.

Thank you for your information.
