Can a form and report be viewed if you don't have Access

D

Denielle

I am wondering if there is a way for someone to open a
form and enter their search parameters to create a report
if they don't have Access installed on their computer.

I have set up macros to drive the form and the reports it
creates.

Thank you in advance for your help!

No. Your user would have to have either: 1) a full copy of MS Access
installed on his or her computer; or, 2) if you have the Developer's
Tools for your particular version of Access, you can create a runtime
installation for your application which installs Access on your user's
computer, allowing your database to be opened and run, but removes the
capability for the user to make design changes.

Forms: No.

Reports: An Access user can create a snap-shot Report file and you can use
the Report Snapshot Viewer (available for download from Microsoft Web site
but I think there has been some problems with accessing the download
recently) to view the snap-shot Report.
