Can a group header be full page width in a Multi-column report?

I inherited a report with a detail section the really needs to have multiple columns similar to the following

Group Header [Customer
Some Cust. Data (Needs to be full page width
Group Header [Order Scenario
Some Scenario Data (Needs to be full page width
Detail Sectio
Detail data that's 2 columns which must go down then acros

The problem is, the only thing I can get to print full page width is the page header (which I don't have). Everything else prints in two columns like the detail section. And, since the multi-column section may span multiple pages and has to go down, then across, I can't use a subform

Any suggestions
