Can I insert a hyperlink to a document / picture on a shared drive into an
email, and when this email is opened, the document / picture is displayed in
the body of the email, and the user does not have to click on the link to
open it?

Nope. You don't get to take over control of the recipient's e-mail
program. If the recipient wants to see external content, like linked
images, it will be up to them to configure their e-mail program to
reduce security so it behaves the way that you happen to prefer. Since
they configured their e-mail program to NOT show externally linked
content, it is unlikely that they will change their setup to reduce
security simply because you ask them to do so. It is hardly an
inconvenience on the recipient that they have to click on the infobar to
show linked content WHEN they chose to do so.
