Can a Macro be run automatically upon open

Is there any way to run a given macro automatically upon opening a Word
document file, rather than opening the document and then
Tools/macro/macros.../Run ?

You do need to realise however, that if the user has the Macro Security
Level set to High, such a macro will not run; if it is set to Medium, the
user will be asked if they want to run the macro and they may choose not to;
It is not recommended that users have the Security Level set to Low.

Are you sure that you should not be using a Template with an AutoNew macro?
Such a Template saved in the users Templates folder can be used to create a
document by using File>New and selecting the template and the Autonew macro
will run without being affected by the Security Level setting as the
Templates folder is considered by Word to be a "trusted location".
