Can a macro be stored in a style?

Hi I'm trying to create a style called "callout". When it is applied,
I want it to run a macro that creates a text box in the margin, while
allowing inline text to flow normally, as if the box does not exist.

Is it possible to store a macro in the style?

No, but you can store *frame formatting* in a style in order to
accomplish what you want. See

Thank you Stefan. Never thought of the frame. I was almost done with a
post-editing macro, but this is actually a much better solution.
