Can a person create appointments but not delete others from a sha.

I am trying to share a calendar and let the person add items to it but not
let him delete other peoples items....is this possible and if so...how?

You can create a custom permission. R - click on your calendar- select
permissions. Add the person(s) then select custom on the drop down list.
Now choose your permission - you can allow or not allow to create items. -
there are also selections available for editing and deleting rights for
there items, none or all.
