Can a program automatically insert some text in a paragraph?

Can I, with Word or Excel, format it to automatically insert different lines
of text into specific and different lines in a paragraph?

For example (paragraph):

***********1**************1*************2******
*******2**************3*************3*******

legend: paragraph=* each different line of text I want to insert=1,2,3,...,a
number for each one

As it is represented, each line would be twice in the paragraph. This is
really for a html code, that I will use later in a web page, in which the
paragraph is the code and each different number represent a different url. I
want that from a group of urls, each url were automatically inserted in their
respectively spaces.
