Can a publisher file be used as a Word backgound / stationery?

I would like to turn my letterhead file (created/saved in Publisher) into a
background or stationery in Word. Is there a way to do this? Maybe as a
watermark of some sort? I understand it will not be as vibrant in color as
the true letterhead and that it will probably show up as a wash. Make sense?
I cannot find any help on this. Thank you.

washed out on the screen (possibly even in Print Preview) but will print in
full color.

Anything inserted into the page header will look washed out on screen (not
on paper). The bigger problem will be getting the Publisher graphics into
Word. There is limited cooperation between these incompatible applications.
One way that should work is to 'print' from Publisher to a graphical format.
You can use the SnagIt trial www.techsmith.com to output the Publisher page
to a graphics format eg jpg, or png and then crop the header and footer
parts into two separate graphics, which you can insert into the
header/footer of the letterhead template. details of how to create
