can a WMA file be made into a Word Document without a microphone?

I'm betting the answer is no, but I'm asking anyway!
Is there an interface between Windows Audio Player and Word Voice
Recognition technologies?

Hi Marcia,

There isn't a built in functionallity for this in Word. Speech recognition/dictation generally has to be trained and relies on data
from both the training of a specific person and on a specific hardware configuration to be accurate.

There are 3rd party packages that can probably do this. You may want to check with the folks in the Speech discussion group as well
through the links below.
