Can Access 2002 or 2003 read and edit *.dbf files

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows if MS Access 2002 or 2003 allows you to read and edit *.dbf files??? *.dbf files are a native format for shape files which are used extensively. Currently I am using Access 2000 on WinNT and utilising the Borland JetEngine to aid in reading and editing these files in MS Access. Does anyone know if Access 2002 or above now incorporates this function as part of its package????
