Can Access link to a MS project file?

Hi,

I work for a cancer research lab, and we have an Access
database for our sample data (results of mutation testing)
and want to use MS Project to build 'projects' that track
which samples need doing, when, by whom, whether they need
repeating etc..

Is it possible to link a project file from an Access
database? (i.e. like linking a picture or powerpoint file
in a database?)
