Can accumulated totals be added to a calculated column in a pivot table?

Let me explain it..

I have a worksheet with data about planned and real values of
investment. The data is shown with several columns that describe some
properties of the target market.

By example

Date | Country | Market | Product | Planned Invesment | Real
Investment

I need to make a Pivot Table that summarize this data and shows the
accumulated difference between planned and real investment, and the
chance of showing it using any of the dimensions listed above.

By Example

Date | Country | Planned | Real | Difference |
Accumulated Diff.
01/2006 | USA | 1000 | 800 | 200 | 200
(0+200)
02/2006 | USA | 1100 | 980 | 120 | 320
(200+120)
03/2006 | USA | 900 | 1080 | -180 | 140
(320+(-180))

and so on.

I can't find any option (formula, etc) that makes the accumulated sum
or some similar operation inside a pivot table.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

In the 'data' area of the pivot table layout add the value "real" a
second time.
Right click on one of the value instances of that field and select
'field settings' > 'options' and set that field to show data as
'running total' in 'date'

seems to give the same result as in your text example. be careful
about moving the date field around!

regards..
