In Outlook2003w/BCM, suppose a customer's name appears in a news article.
(Like in an emailed newsletter where you get 8-10 headlines, then click on
the headline to go to the website where the full store is...and there's your
customer/company/client, whatever.)
Questions is... Is there an *easy* way to save a snapshot of this article in
the history of that customer, like the way Business Notes and emails are
saved?
Not a link... that's easy but faulty... a year from now, the page could be
moved, renamed, or gone...so the link is worthless. BCM would need to
freeze the image (like saving an ___.mht file) and then link that to the
customer (i.e. business contact).
Sure, an ___.mht file could be created, stored somewhere, then linked, but
that's extra work...and if the file moves on the PC, that too wipes out the
link.
Anyway, if there's a way to easily tie a snapshot to a contact, I'd like to
know. If not, seems like it would be a handy future feature.
Thanks,
G
