can cable internet support off site faxes

i need to send a document to a offsite fax machine, how do i accomplish this
when my internet serve is provided through a cable connection and the fax
machine uses a phone line

There are several sites that offer to do this for you...for a fee. If
hooking a phone line up to your computer is not an option, I would suggest
contacting the target company and getting an email address if possible or
going to a local company (office supply, printer, etc) and fax it from
there.
