can create .mdb's but cant open

I just installed Access 2003. There was
not a previous version of Access installed.

I was able to create a new Access Database fine.
But, when I try to open it again, it does
not appear, and no error messages either.

Sounds like a config issue, but I cant
figure it out.

Anyone see this before?
