Can data graphics be applied to timeline markers?

I realize that an Excel database can be imported in Visio Prof 2007 to be
linked to data graphics. Can an Excel database which includes dates and
times be automatically linked to timeline markers such that they appear on
the timeline at the specified time and date? (My database is not appropriate
for Project)
