Can document behind a userform be hidden

Hi

I'm a newbie so please bear with me if this is a stupid question. I
would like to creat userforms that do not have the document, into which
the text will merge, showing behind them. Other than having a blank
page at the top of the document, is there a better way of hiding the
document?

You can make the document not visible.

ActiveDocument.Visible = False

I have tried it but it does not work. Where exactly should I put that
line of code? I am using Word 2000. Does that make a difference?

I meant to type ActiveWindow.Visible = false.
Sometimes my fingers just don't co-operate with my head, hmmm, maybe it's
the other way around.
