Have excel spread sheet with names (last name in one cell, first name inanother cell). Is there a way to print name tags using this data? Assume I need a specific Avery label to do so.

I think the usual method is to (optionally) use Excel for the names and to
(definitely) use Word's mail merge to print. You can get Word templates on
the Avery web site.

And most of the common Avery labels are listed in the Tools/Labels
wizard, so you don't even really need a template.
