Hi all;
Is there a way to set up some kind of auto check function
on the data when the particular file is lunched by using
access 2002? actually I had question about setting up
message box about the expiration date week ago. it worked
fine but what i really need to do is have the access run
check on the expiration dates and pop up some kind of
message box saying that they are about to expire. does
filter function come in handy at situations like this, if
yes how do i go ahead and set it up? any kind of help is
appreciated. thanks in advance...

Check "on the expiration dates"? "Open a particular file"? We need to know
what you have, and what you are trying to accomplish if we are to be able to
help.

Please clarify here in the newsgroup, not by e-mail. Thanks.

thanks for your reply first of all.

what I am trying to do is that we have this small business
program called loan handler, it is a program that holds
information about the loan applications and
their "expiration dates". in my original e-mail what i
meant was to open this database (called borrower) not a
file, sorry about the confusion.

unfortunately we don't have MS Access at office. but I am
trying convice them to buy access by proving them that we
can filter out the data by using access (loan handler is
access compatible). actually what the person needs to know
is when the particular "expiration" is in two days.

is there a way that we can use filter option to show us
the applications that are within two days of expiration.
or is there another way to do that.

any kind of help and recommendation is welcome and
appreciated.
