Can fiscal calendars be used in Project?

In Project 03, you can set the calendar year at the
enterprise level by opening the enterprise global, then
going to TOOLS / OPTIONS. On the calendar page you can
set the year to begin at whatever month your company
uses. IE - If it's July to June. Your other option is in
Project Web Access (PWA) to start the weeks on whatever
day you want. IE - if you want the week to start on
Monday, you can set it. Those are the only settings I'm
aware of, but I don't understand why you can't configure
your reports to query the 1st - 30th (or 31st) of said
month to pull the hours / costs you're looking for. Just
require your resources to enter their time daily (process
issue.)

Most large corporations close the labor books at the end
of each week/month. When costs are looked at by month, it
is a fiscal month. This is based on not signing time cards
mid-week if coincident with the end of the calendar month.
I know we can change working time, non working time, etc.
but is there a way to change what days are considered to
be in each month? Maybe some setup tool or something.
We are trying to use this project at a major defense
company and if we can't get the costs into fiscal months,
the game is over. Thanks.

Jeanine,

Have you seen a way to set up a 4-4-5 week calendar for use by accounting
months?
