Can font colors be saved in 2000-2003 version from Project 2007?

When font colors are changed in the Gantt, then the file is saved in
2000-2003 format, the color changes do not appear when the file is pulled up
in either Project 2000 or Project 2003. Does anyone know a
solution/work-around to this?

Try using the black font color. It should carry over

Hello Kelli,

I'm not sure what you are using the changes in color formatting to
represent. Perhaps using notes on the tasks or a spare text field to
record information may be a work around.

Kelli,

Just sitting here waiting on a response to my query when I saw your
question. I did this very thing several weeks ago when I had to prepare a
schedule that outlined tasks that our company would perform and tasks the
customer would perform and did this by changing the color of the customer's
tasks.

As one of the responses indicated, you didn't say how you changed the color
of the font, so I hope this procedure works for you -

Click on the task line(s) so that the entire task line is highlighted.
Using the drop-down menu bar, select FORMAT>FONT.
Select the color and then OK.
Save your project file.

This works fine on my Project 2003.
