Can get rid of the suggestions text?

When you type a letter in a field, below that appears some suggestions based on that letter of previously entered text. What is that called, this function?
Anyway, is there a way to clear that from a document if you don't want see that anymore? thanks

In 2004: Excel> Preferences Edit - clear the Enable AutoComplete for Cell
Values check.

or will it clear it for others? bit confusing, as I'm asking to clear just for a specific workbook.
