Can I accept all changes within a Selection range?

Is there any way, either in code or by a Reviewing function I don't know
about, to select a certain portion of the document and accept or reject all
changes in just the selected range?

Yes. You can use something like the following:

Selection.Range.Revisions.AcceptAll

ActiveDocument.Sections(2).Range.Revisions.AcceptAll
