Can I change the size of the blinking insertion point in Word?

Recently, the size of the blinking insertion point in Word has changed to a
very small 2 - 3 point size. I want to change it back. How can I do this?

Switching to 500% Zoom and back will probably cure it. No one knows what
causes this problem, and the Zoom switch is not a permanent cure, but so far
it's all we've found.
