I do not find a way to convert a color .jpg file to grayscale in Picture
Manager? Is there a way?

It's not even in the Help file so it's a safe bet that the answer is no.

Is there a reason why you can't do this inside whatever program you're
inserting the photograph? I would also think that you have some sort of
graphics program available. Most computers do.

Thanks, I just used Picasa from Google, but since Picture Manager is my
default viewer I was just trying to save a step.

I'd suggest changing the default but I wouldn't know how/if it could be
changed to Picasso.

Grayscale what? If you just want the "grayscale look", use Picture,
Color, and drag Saturation to the left(-100).
