Can I convert colored pictures to a coloring page?

I am trying to create a coloring book to follow stories for young children.
None of the coloring books or pages come close enough. I am hoping it is
possible to convert drawings with color and text to black & white outlines
for coloring. This will make it match and reinforce the lesson. (The material
I am using is not copywrite protected and I have permission if I can find a
way.)

I've seen this feature somewhere, though not in Word. I thought it was in
Publisher, but I don't find it there. Perhaps it was in a printer driver or
possibly in another application such as PrintMaster.

This is helpful so I can quit searching word. I don't have Printmaster. It
seems it SHOULD be easy to just delete anything with color, leaving nothing
but places for the children to color but nothing is ever THAT easy. If anyone
knows of a way to do this, please let me know.

If the colours are solid, the 'Set transparency' tool from the Picture
toolbar might do it for you. Failing that, export the pictures to a graphic
editor. You can sometimes find early versions of Corel or Photoshop for just
a few dollars at garage sales or on eBay. There are also freeware and
shareware programs that will do it.
