I imported about 100 contacts from ACT! into Outlook2003w/BCM. There are of
course some duplicate contacts... where *part* of their history notes are in
the ACT! record, and the more recent other part is in OutlookBCM.
Is there *any* way, or workaround, to copy items (notes, emails) in Business
Contact History from one contact to another so I can manaully consolidate
contacts. Here's an oversimplified example where I have John Doe twice...
some old history is in the record that came from ACT!, and some new history
is in the Outlook record:
CONTACT HISTORY IMPORTED FROM ACT:
John Doe
07/20/04. email. Subject: annual conference
12/31/04. Note. I called John about big conference
CONTACT HISTORY ALREADY IN OUTLOOK BCM:
John Doe
01/16/05. Note. John called, let's have it in Florida
01/31/05. Note. We scheduled it at HotelMiami
All I would like to do is copy (or drag&drop) the old ACT! items over to the
new Outlook record, so I end up with *one* John Doe, like this:
NEW, MANUALLY CONSOLIDATED RECORD:
John Doe
07/20/04. email. Subject: annual conference
12/31/04. Note. I called John about big conference
01/16/05. Note. John called, let's have it in Florida
01/31/05. Note. We scheduled it at HotelMiami
