I know I have seen at least a Proof of concept of this type of document but I
can't remember where:
I have an old application that "merges" an XML-based template and data
comimg from a Database to compose a letter. The application used to have a
native template creator but it stopped working when I migrated to Vista. I am
able to make small changes to the template by going to the XML files and
change things.
However, a major change in our company will require a major overhault of all
templates (close to 80 of them). I wonder if I can just create a "blank
template" with the standard fields (date, to, subject, signature, a logo, a
header and a footer) in Word and export it as a XML template to be used with
this application. I don't mind making small adjustments here and there.
