Can I customize the day view in 2007?

There seems to be a great deal of wasted space on the Outlook 2007
calendar. Especially in the day view, the row height is much larger
than it needs to be. Also, the font size for the display of the date
is also much larger than needed. If these things could be reduced,
much more information could be displayed on the screen without
scrolling. I have only found settings for font size, and they don't
improve these nags. Is there any other way to customize the
appearance of the day view of the calendar? Thanks, Billy

I agree. Improved functinality is great, but there is oo much wasted space.
The box around each appointment is also not necessary. There is too much
time scrolling in the new views which is a real time waster and frustration.
There needs to be more options so more info on each day or week can be seen
