Thanks for the link - mostly double dutch to me.
I have set the mails to go to the Personal File that I require but I am
unable to deleat the unwanted file.
I know it is not your fault but it is a waste of time when us "mature age"
people, (60+), spend good money then have to spend time correcting things
that should / could have been attended to when the program was built. Buy
anything else and if it does not work, you take it back, with computer
programs...............

Then whatever you did corrupted your profile. You probably migrated your
data incorrectly.
Create a new profile. Read the Help files so you know how to migrate data
correctly this time.

Have you tried right-click | Close "Personal Folder"?

If I new how it happened I would not be here.
I deleted Outlook out of C drive and substituted My Outlook from My
Documents.
I can highlight the Personal Folder that I wish to deleat, but can not
see
where to close it.

You can close any PST file that isn't your default. You have provided
no
information that would permit any further help. Only you could know
how you
created this mess. Spell it out if you expect help from us.

Outlook 2003 - My Outlook.
Under "All Mail Folders" I have Personal Folder, Business Contact
Manager
and Personal Folder.
The second Personal Folder has all my sub-folders.
Is there some way that I can deleat or close down the first Personal
Folder
or make the second folder as the prefered folder so as to stop
incomming
mail
going to the folder that has not got the sub-folders?
Thanks
