Can I delete custom color themes?

Processor: Intel

When I was new to PPT 2008, I accidentally created about a dozen custom color themes that I don't want or need. I can save a new theme, and I can delete one of the named themes that came with Office 2008, but I can't find any way to delete these unneeded custom color themes. I've searched on the names, but found nothing.

Yes, there is a way - and it's pretty easy.
The custom themes are saved for each user of your
Mac, meaning that you and everyone else who use your
computer can have their own custom theme settings.
These custom themes are stored as XML files in your
Library folder.
Check the Users > [your user name] > Library >
Application Support > Microsoft > Office >
User Templates > My Themes > Theme Colors folder.
There should be one XML file for each theme that
you've create. Delete the ones you don't want,
and restart PowerPoint. Your unwanted custom colors
should be gone!

Perfect! Thanks!

Now I wonder why those files didn't show up when I used the system's "Find" command?

The problem is with Spotlight. It might have worked
under OS X Tiger, but Leopard's implementation of
Spotlight is a bit spotty at times.
There's a nice post on Macrumors.com lamenting about
the woes of the "new and improved" Spotlight in Leopard:

I did get it to eventually work, however, thanks in part
to a hint from the above-mentioned forum.
Open a Finder window, type Cmd+F, and under the
"Kind" drop-down menu, select "Other...", add a check to
"System files" in the list, click OK, and then select
"System files", newly added to the drop-down.
Then, in the Spotlight search box in the currently
open window, type the first few letters of your custom
theme, and it should come up. Worked for me, anyway. ;-)

Hi,

FWIW there's a shortcut to the local templates in the Settings tab of
Project Gallery.
