Can I delete parts of Office?

I recently loaded Office 2004 on my iBook but want to conserve hard
drive space for an app i just picked up, and was thinking about
deleting all the MS apps except for Word and Excel. Can I do this
without messing up Word and Excel to the point that I need to
reinstall?

I would just try it, but I'm away from home and don't have access to my
Office install CD.

Any help that could be provided would be great.

Thanks

As long as you keep the common files in the Office folder, it should be
OK.
To save on space, you could also delete the cliparts if you have
installed them and never use them,

Deleting the Entourage and PowerPoint executables won't save any space
to be worth it. Try deleting language support files and clipart and
things of that sort to make a real difference. MS office is pretty
componentized and shouldn't mind...

While your at it download one of the freeware utilities out there
(Monolingual?) that delete all the unneeded language support files in
all of OSX. That will save a serious chunk of space (hundreds of mbs)...
