Can I delete several but not all edit points at once

When I use the draw tool to trace a map sometimes I need to delete a lot but
not all of the line I have drawn which has a lot of edit points. Is there a
way to delete part of the line? I am using Word 2002.

With your cursor on the edit point, right-click, there are options. If you need
to delete many points, hold ctrl, your cursor will become an X, the points will
delete.
