Often when I am using Word (and other apps as well) my computer (Lenovo R61)
decides to go into Insert mode, which lights up the OVR (0verstrike)
indicator on the Word taskbar. This means that anything I write overstrikes
existing text.
I have never wanted my computer to do this, and i can't see when i would
ever want it to do this in the future.
I can't be hitting the insert key, as it is away from the letters i use, but
I guess either I am hitting some command combination by accident, or Word
2003 is anticipating that i want to use the overstrike mode.
Can i disable something so that this overstrike function never occurs?
