When I write chemical equations or draw molecules in OneNote, OneNote
frequently assumes (incorrectly) that I'm trying to move previously written
or drawn material. Is there a way to disable or restrict OneNote's
automated selection and move features?
For example, if I want to write the following molecule to the screen
CH3
!
CH3 CH CH3
my practice is to write the longest part of the molecule first
CH3 CH CH3
and then fill in the smaller parts of the molecule
CH3
!
CH3 CH CH3
OneNote, however, typically responds to the attempt to add the smaller part
of the molecule as an attempt to move the previously entered material (the
longer part of the molecule). I get the same results whether the writing is
marked as text or drawing.
I'm trying to disable the automated selection and move feature, at least
while writing the original equations.
Thank you.
