Can I draw in FP?

This might be a stupid question, but can I draw in FP as I
can in Powerpoint? I'd like to put in a colored ellipse
with a text box. Can I do that directly or do I need to
do that in PP or MSPaint and export a .GIF file and then
import it into FP.

Sorry to be so ignorant.
