i have created a web site using a template from my hosting company...It has
reached it's useful capacity for what i am doing with it.
I am wondering...if I buy Frontpage 2003 willI be able to make changes to my
existing site, like I would be able to with macromedia dreamweaver or will i
have to start from scratch?

Hi spidy.....

Should be ok..... BUT.... if you use frontpage tools, components, etc the
host will need to have frontpage extensions installed..... and remember to
publish to the web using FP.

Best to you......

Thanks Tom
I am using terrashare for my host and they have front page support... and
good instructions as to how to publish using FP. However they don't seem to
have info on FP 2003 yet, so I guess I'll find out from them if they have the
correct extensions before I buy FP.

The Front Page Extensions were not upgraded for Front
Page 2003. So if they have the Front Page 2002 Extensions
you should be good to go.

You can simply edit ANY (or perhaps pretty darn close to) existing web page
out there with FrontPage. Heres how:

1. Configure your IE browser to use FrontPage as the default HTML editor
from the Internet Options -> Programs tab OR
2. view -> source -> select all -> copy/paste code into the Front page
"code" section.

Just make sure that your files aren't "referenced" from that other guy for
this is called stealing bandwith.

It's also called copyright infringement.

Yes. When all is said and done, FP is just an just editor with best-avoided,
automagical, gee-whiz features built in.

The Web Management stuff, though is excellent.
