No, the original was created in a different program. (I don't really know
what it was created with) That application is able to save files in .SVG
format.
I failed to note that when I open the SVG file in Visio, an error log is
generated with the following errors:
[Information] DataType: Element <text>
Context: Line 1
Description: Unable to apply clipping to element.
[Information] DataType: N/A
Context: Line 1
Description: Unsupported property value stroke-miterlimit='10'. Only
property value of '3' is supported.
[Warning] DataType:
Context: <VisioDocument><Masters><Master ID='85'
Name='mniinbb.clipPath44394'> Sheet.5!LocPinY
Description: Visio could not assign the specified formula to the cell and
has substituted an alternate formula.
Old formula: Height*1.#INF
New formula: 0
Each one is repeated several times. Apparently for each element in the
drawing.

was the original file created in visio?

When I open a .svg drawing in Visio, it seems to be treated as about a
million little groups, which break up into each word, and each line as
a
separate item. Is there a way to import them in a more usable format,
so I
can make changes?
Thanks for your help.
