Can I get predefined content in a Word style?

Can I create a style that contains predefined content?

Examples: A style named "Note" that, when applied, already includes
the word "Note."
A style named "Reviewer" that, when applied, already includes the word
"Reviewer."
And what I really want it for a style named "Bullet" that, when
applied, already contains a bullet character and a tab.

For Note and Reviewer, create bulleted styles. You may need to make graphics
for the word "Note" and "Reviewer". Bullets are easy. Just create a bulleted
paragraph that is formatted just how you like it. Select it, hit
Format-Style-New and give it a name.

Anne,
Thank you for your answer. It doesn't, however, quite get to my
problem.

I want a bullet style that does not lose the bullet if I change the
indent!

I am writing documentation that contains a LOT of numbered lists and
levels of numbered lists and I am changing the levels of the lists
constantly as I develop the procedures. I want a style with a bullet
in it that does not lose the bullet if I use the indent > this way or
indent < that way buttons.

What happens now is that, no matter how I seem to define a style with
a bullet in it (I tried a macro that inserted a bullet and a tab,
tried defining it in the style with Numbering, tried a style with no
bullet and then click the bullet button), the style loses its bullet
and sometimes forgets what its tabs are. It seems to get grabbed by
the Automatic numbering in Word, which I am desparately trying to
avoid!

I implement my numbered lists with field codes and these work great!!
Admittedly, occasionally, they seem to forget their assigned tabs or
indents, but aren't too resistent to learning again. But the bullets
are capricious!

Do you know how I can get my bullets to be stable?

I thought perhaps that if I could define a bullet that contained
content of a bullet, it wouldn't change. Also, your idea of using the
Numbering format to define a Note or a Reviewer comment contains the
same problem! I'm trying to avoid the Word numbering format!
