Can I get someone to answer my question previously posted

On my main menu @ www.nooksack-tribe.org, you will notice the drop down
submenu. If you hover over it, the sub-menu will close which it is suppose
to, BUT
when I go to another webpage, and click to go back to the "main' page the
submenu is open. How do I correct this so it closes. (I have followed the
instructions to the letter when creating this submenu.)

I don't think my visitors would like to see this all the time. Thanks

When you say "click to go back" to the main page are you using your browser
back button or are you using a page link like "home"?

I'm not up on your problem, but with the placement of all of those e-mail
addresses, the spammers are going to be delighted. You should create a
server side form on a Contact Us type of page.

mistake of putting my email address on my page as a "mail to" live link.
Things were fine for a while, but pretty soon I was getting 30-40 (or more)
pieces of Spam mail every time I opened my mail. I finally had to change my
email address (and remove the link). Now I understand that they have bots
that look for the @ sign, so you have to disguise the address so they can't
find it.

Hi Molly
There is is something you should also consider.
If you click on the Tribal council link the images take a long time to
download. It is best to create small thumbnails which downloads fast. It
looks like you have used frontpage to resize the images,, this method only
tells the browser to display an image at a certain size. If you take a
look at the George Swanaset for instance you have resized it to display at
160 by 140 px but the actual image is 3264 by 2448 px. Resize the image in
a photo editor to the size you wish to display and the images will then
download much faster

This not my script but it is similar to one that I use. I based mine on code
from Jim Cheshire, author of the JIMCO addins.

I see that you use variable names like 'street' 'zip' 'city' and 'state'
which actually don't contain any text of this nature. I am not sure that
this is necessary to hide the address, but it must help to confuse (which is
what we are trying to do)

I would be surprised if the spammers can decipher what the address is. What
do others think?

It's not the number of pixels that's the problem, it's the size of the file.
Around 26kb in size is good unless you need a high resolution photo. Once
you insert the image, in FrontPage, look in the bottom left corner of the
window and you'll see the speed it will take the page to download (ex:
0.01@128Kbps). Double- click it to change the connection speeds. This is
an estimate (real times vary depending on the user's connection speed) but
if it looks to high adjust the size of the image then look again. It will
give you a good idea of what the size will do to the download time

To clarify ... what I meant was that it doesn't matter if it's 800x600 or
20000 x 20000 as long as the file size isn't too large.

tell me why my submenu is not staying closed. When I click on a link to go
to another page, and then I click "home" on that page -- my submenu is open--
and I closed it before clicking on another link. Something isn't right, and
I need to fix it. Thanks
