Can i have 2 versions of XL installed on the same PC?

I am running XL 97 on my laptop. I have just purchased XL 2003. Do I
need to uninstall XL 97, or can I have them both installed? I am using
Windows XP Home Edition. If I later get XL 2007, can that be installed
on the same PC with 97/2003?

Thanks,

Tonso

Note: Both 97 and 2003 are Professional Editions.

Yes.

Several people are running 4 or 5 versions on same computer.

I had 3 for a while but now just 2003 and 2007

Best to install in order from oldest to newest.

I have xl95, xl97,xl2003, & xl2007 all on the same computer. The trick is to
install in SEPARATE folders. Be advised that the latest version will take
the focus unless you change your associations. Also, if you use OUTLOOK
there can only be ONE version. But, you didn't say OFFICE so....

I do have a problem when trying to install all on a new computer in that I
can't seem to figure out how to get the help files for the older
versions..??

In both cases it is the Office Professional Version, and not just
Excel. That is, Office 97 Professional and Office 2003 Professional.

Then, if using Outlook you should prefer the 2003 version anyway. As I said,
install in a different folder from office 97
