Can I have a single slide show with transitions and hold at end?

I am trying to show a single slide with multiple transitions within the
slide...data fading in. BUT, I want to hold the slide at the end, without
going to the "end of slide show" screen. Can I do it, with a single slide?

If you want to hold the slide after the last animation, just do...Nothing
more
If you want it with all the objects, just duplicate the slide (Ctrl+D I
think) and supress all animations in the animation pane

Yes. Of course it would have been nice to know what version of PPT you are
using.

For PPT 2003, on your slide right click on any of the objects. Click Custom
Animation (if the custom animation box is not already on the right side of
your PPT window.) Select the last item in the Custom Animation screen and
click on it. A drop down box will appear. Click on the arrow. Select
Timing in the list that opens. Click Effect tab. Ensure that Don't Dim is
selected under after animation. OK out.

For PPT 2007, On Animations on ribbon bar click custom animation and then do
the same in the box on the right side.

For powerpoint 2007
1.click Slide Show on ribbon
2.on the Set Up group choose Set Up Silde Show
3.there is a Set Up Show window displayed
4.at the Show options you just cilck the Loop continuously until 'Esc'
5.click Ok .

Select the last slide
Slide Show > Slide Transition
Tick "On Click" and untick auto after. DO NOT CLICK APPLY TO ALL Done

In 2007 Animations Tab tick as above and don't click apply to all

John, if the OP does your method, they will have to click on the slide to
start the program and it will end as well. The issue is with the last
animation. That has to be stopped. Look at my post to see the fix (as it
apparently worked for the OP.)
