Using Microsoft's voice recognition program the dictionary always reverts to
American English . Is it possible to set default dictionary to English UK ?
I'm writing a master's dissertation and the least hassle the better!
Thanks to all

Hi Eva,

Unfortunately, as shipped the Office dictation feature supports
dictating only U.S. English, Chinese and Japanese languages.

If you check your Normal style (or other style) through the Style
taskpane does the style have English U.K. set as part of the style
settings? If not, right click on the style, choose Modify and use
Format=>Language to set the proofing language you prefer for that
style.

Hi Eva,

You may want to check with the folks in the Word
Spelling and Grammar group (link below) but if you
look at Tools=>Options=>Spelling & Grammar=>[Custom Dictionaries]
do you have the selected dictionary set to a specific language
or to 'All languages' or ?
